Firewall 27-04 (cont)

The firewall angles are now back riveted to the stainless steel firewall panels. Straightforward you may think but the panels have strengthening flutes and will not lie flat on a backplate. I used my backplate with the tungsten bar on top to reach in between the flutes. Not pretty but it worked as long as you are careful to line up the hole onto the bar.

At the ends it is impossible to reach between the flanges so you need to use the long back riveting set.

Job done. As per usual, it was hard to get consistent shop heads with the back rivet set so a few were replaced but I was pleased that they all are sitting flush in the panels.
