Side skins fitted and upper and lower longerons secured with temporary 3\/8th bolts to enable alignment of the cowing attachment hinges. Initially I struggled in to get the skin to align with the firewall and shim but when reread the manual I had missed the fact that you do have clecos protruding against the hinge as you drill. With the clecos in, all was good. I have found that if something doesn’t align in this kit, you probably have got it wrong!<\/p>\n

I should have bought shorter bolts, 2″ is too long…<\/p>\n

Some more final drilling required to the centre section and upper\/lower longeron assemblies before you dismantle everything to dimple the side skin.<\/p>\n

Hinges are countersunk and the shims dimpled to fit the hinges.<\/p>\n
