There are a lot of holes in those skins! I read that a builder had mistakenly dimpled the centre nutplate holes when finishing the #30 holes. I can see how easy it is to do this as you have to positively ID the nutplate fixings. The #40 holes on the curved part of the skin are dimpled using the reduced diameter die. The depth of the c-frame means that a bit of manipulation is required in order that the skin can be tilted so that the die makes good contact with the skin and doesn’t “smiley” the area around the dimple. The outer holes can be dimpled using the squeezer which is easy to align with the skin. Parts should arrive tomorrow so more construction is around the corner.<\/p>\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vansrv14.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_1901.jpg\" height=\"2000\" class=\"wp-image-356\" width=\"1500\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.vansrv14.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_1901.jpg 1500w, http:\/\/www.vansrv14.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_1901-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/www.vansrv14.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_1901-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Deburring and dimpling the side skins today.
