Cue visit to the ED to have my shoulder put back where it should be followed by at least 4 weeks with my shoulder immobilised. I can’t fly and I can’t build. However….

The RV community is a tight knit bunch and after a few “I think I’ll sell this” conversations, Ian (RV6A builder, owner and all round good egg) came to the rescue. So today “we” cracked on with riveting the two halves together. I passed rivets and tools while Ian just got on with it and did wonders for my mental health!

I had already prepped and fitted the harness lugs and we have now closed up the top half of the join. The fuselage is too high for some of the internal rivets so once I have two serviceable arms, I will construct a fuselage dolly so that we can reach inside.

Next step will be the lower side skin rivets and the bottom skins.
